Ethics Statement

At the core of my practice as a Positive Psychology Mentor, I uphold the highest ethical standards to ensure that every client receives respectful, confidential, and effective guidance.

My commitment to ethics is the foundation upon which I build my business, reflecting my responsibility to do right by those I mentor.

1. Respect for Individuals

I recognise and honour the autonomy and dignity of each client. This means:

Informed Consent: Before beginning any mentorship program, I ensure that clients fully understand the nature, goals, and potential outcomes of our sessions. This transparency fosters trust and empowers clients to make informed decisions about their personal growth journey.

Cultural Sensitivity: I am attentive to and respectful of the diverse backgrounds, beliefs, and values that clients bring into our sessions. This sensitivity ensures that my guidance is relevant and respectful of each individual's unique context.

2. Commitment to Beneficence and Nonmaleficence

My primary goal is to promote the well-being of my clients while ensuring no harm comes from our interactions. To uphold this:

Evidence-Based Practices: I employ strategies and interventions grounded in positive psychology research, ensuring that the guidance provided is both effective and scientifically validated.

Continuous Professional Development: I engage in ongoing learning and self-reflection to enhance my skills and stay updated with advancements in the field. This commitment ensures that clients receive the highest quality mentorship.

3. Integrity and Honesty

Maintaining trust through honesty is paramount in my practice:

Transparent Communication: I provide clear and accurate information about my qualifications, the services offered, and any potential limitations. This openness ensures that clients have realistic expectations and a clear understanding of the mentorship process.

Avoidance of Conflicts of Interest: I remain vigilant about potential conflicts and address them proactively to maintain the integrity of the mentor-client relationship.

4. Confidentiality

The privacy of my clients is sacred:

Secure Handling of Information: All personal information shared during sessions is kept confidential and stored securely. I do not disclose any details without explicit consent, except in cases where there is a legal obligation or immediate risk of harm.

Clear Boundaries: I establish and maintain professional boundaries to protect the confidentiality and integrity of our mentorship relationship.

5. Justice and Fairness

I am dedicated to providing equitable and unbiased mentorship:

Equal Access: I strive to make my services accessible to all middle-aged men seeking guidance, ensuring that support is available regardless of background or circumstance.

Non-Discrimination: I treat all clients with fairness and respect, actively working against biases that could influence the quality of mentorship provided.

By adhering to these ethical principles, I aim to create a mentorship environment that is trustworthy, effective, and aligned with the core values of positive psychology. This commitment not only guides my professional conduct but also ensures that clients receive the support they need to lead fulfilling and purposeful lives.
