Everyone loves a good back story, don't they?

I'll keep it brief because it's more about what I can do to help you, rather than boast about my life. 

​

I grew up in Adelaide, South Australia and decided to spread my wings at 20, moving to Japan in the late 1990s. 

I've been coming and going for over 25 years.

Career-wise - well, it's been colourful, to say the least. I've done everything from teaching, finance, marketing, advertising and hospitality.

​

I love to write and I also like to fix problems. The combination of these two skills has led me to write content for brands and more recently copywriting, but when I do this, I tend to look at the bigger picture of your business. My content marketing is never done in isolation to where you want to take your business.

For years, I felt like I was wasting away in the corporate world where my skills were not required, nor valued, so I decided to brave the non-corporate world as a freelancer for the first time in my life.

And I must say it's exhilarating to have the freedom and scope to bring more of my personality what I do.

​

I live in Fukushima prefecture in Japan with my family and when I'm not writing and helping clients, I am spending the majority of my time loving every minute with my wife and son. 

​

Outside of that, I play music, love riding fixed-wheel bicycles and take my camera everywhere I go across Japan to document how I see the world.
